Constructive Moves are working with a national PLC developer known for building traditional housing schemes across the UK are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to cover housing developments across Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and North London.

As Quantity Surveyor you will report into the Commercial Manager and will be allocated housing developments at various stages of construction to manage and assist in all financial aspects of the scheme.

In your role you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • valuations
  • measurements
  • cost reports
  • attending meetings
  • ensuring that adequate cost monitoring and management is undertaken.

Development Project Manager

£60000 - £70000 per annum benefits package

Constructive Moves are sourcing applicants for a Development Project Manager to join our client, a leading residential developer in their Special Projects team based in Essex.


You will play a crucial role in managing the programme of works, delivery and budgets across a number of construction projects within their portfolio.


Ideally your background will be in construction and project management, especially in external cladding and remediation along with the delivery of new build residential and high-rise apartment schemes.


Key responsibilities will include:

Conducting feasibility studies and site assessments
Maintain timelines
Ensure high-quality standards while working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
Managing project budgets and implementing cost-control measures

Quantity Surveyor

Constructive Moves are collaborating with a leading residential developer to recruit for a Quantity Surveyor to manage mixed tenure housing schemes across the Midlands region.

The region have multiple projects already underway and several more due to start in 2025 which has meant the requirement for extra Commercial resources for the team.

You will be responsible for the commercial management for these developments and will play an integral role in assisting with the pipeline of work and supporting the senior surveyors.

Construction Manager

£85000 - £95000 per annum plus package

Constructive Moves have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Manager to join a leading housing developer based within Hertfordshire.

As Construction Manager you will be responsible for managing the construction teams to ensure each scheme achieves the company wide performance standards along with Health and Safety requirements.

The promotion of customer relationships will also be key to this role and providing the site based teams with the right approach to a smooth customer journey.

It would be beneficial if you have the following experience or qualification:

  • A proven track record of motivating and managing a team effectively,
  • ONC or HNC in Building Construction or NVQ Level 4/5 or similar
  • CSCS card at Contracts Manager Level
  • Full UK driving license
  • SMSTS, NVQ 6 or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager for a high-volume house builder
  • Up to date knowledge of H&S obligations and building legislation

The company are looking for applicants with experience of building traditional housing developments across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and North London.

Constructive Moves are looking for a Materials Buyer for a luxury house builder with a proven history in Material Procurement within the Construction Industry.

The company are happy to consider applicants from either a Main Contracting or housing developer background.

It would be beneficial if you have had experience of the following:

* Management of material procurement across multiple projects in order maximise company buying initiatives.
* Undertake material measurement from Architects and Engineers drawings
* Provide technical, support and advice to the project in all material related matters, including, lead in times, alternative materials, highlighting cost and risk, review contracts and tender drawings and specifications for compatibility, understanding market fluctuations/trends regarding supply and demand.
* Ensure the purchase of commercially viable materials to meet contract and environmental requirements
* Consider new products and innovation; ensured purchase of commercially viable materials, to meet contract and environmental requirements
* Value Engineering proposals and manage their inclusion within detailed design
* Review all drawn information and maintain accurate and up to date sets of construction drawings.
