An extremely successful subcontractor known for their expertise in cladding, curtain walling and glazing are currently seeking a competent Design Manager to oversee their upcoming commercial projects in London. High in demand to produce multiple projects for their blue-chip clients, they need a competent and experienced designer to maintain their advanced and modern status in the industry.

Working individually and within a team you will be responsible for all aspects of the design process. This will involve interpretation of architectural / services drawings leading to production of CAD layouts and working details. Therefore, you will have experience of using the latest AutoCAD packages ideally be proficient with Revit and or Solidworks. You will also have relevant, practical experience gained in a suitable sub-contractor environment where you will have been involved in designing suspended curtain walling/cladding, glazing, or metalwork. Thus, to be successful in this role you will need to be commercially aware and have excellent communication skills.

Minimum requirements:

The ideal CAD Technician will have gained 5 years' experience working on exterior projects. Ideally you will be HND or City and Guilds qualified in a relevant construction or engineering related discipline. Preferably you will also be computer literate with programming experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments. Career stability will be key in the selection process, as the clients are keen to employee an individual with only a small handful of previous employers. This leading residential developer, based in London is actively to looking for a traditional residential based Senior Site Manager for a new scheme it will be starting in the next two months.

The scheme will be up to 150 units, all of which are traditional residential construction, in South West London and have a build time of 2 years from start to finish.

As the a Senior Site Manager on site, you will be expected to programme, manage the timescales of the project, health and safety and you will report into the lead Project Manager for the project. You must hold all the valid tickets to be based on site, such as SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS and have a solid experience of delivering residential new build schemes from start to finish. As this is a permanent position, you must be able to show a solid career history with leading residential developer, with a great understanding of carpentry and joinery.

Project Co-ordinator / Buyer

Up to £40,000 plus package

This dynamic specialist exteriors sub-contractor is currently undergoing a strong period of growth and continues to expand its operation. With this in mind they seek to appoint a buyer or project co-ordinator to help grow the procurement team.

Based in the office and working closely with the Procurement Manager and Operations Team, your primary duties will be to effectively and efficiently manage and oversee the planning and allocation of all materials to all sites for the installation of high end exterior contracts on time, within budget and to the high quality expected by the company.

Key Accountabilities
Source, order and arrange delivery of all materials to site as required for each project and in accordance with the material quantities and prices within the schedule produced by the Estimating Team
Plan delivery schedules carefully to ensure that the materials are allocated according to the programme and site conditions necessary to complete all installations in accordance with the contract design specification and all terms agreed by the company.
Ensure all materials are properly ordered to ensure continuity of work on site and that adequate plans are made to accommodate on-site delivery time restrictions, limited access and coordination with the client/contractor and operatives as required to ensure downtime is minimised and that operational efficiency is maintained at all times.
An important element of this is ensuring adequate stock levels, maintaining accurate records and forward planning to ensure stock is replenished when required and informing Contracts Managers

Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal individuals will have a stable background and comprehensive experience gained within a suitable specialist sub-contractor. Preferably you will have over 3 years experience of buying and procuring for projects up to £4 or £5 million. Experience of residential and commercial related projects an advantage.
