Project Quantity Surveyor, West / Central London

This leading interiors specialist sub-contractor working in London, offering the complete design, supply and installation of integrated partitions and ceilings are looking to expand their commercial team, with an Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to work as a Project QS.
This role is based out of the office with frequent trips to London, where you will be involved in multiple projects valued from £500k up to £4 million, including commercial and office fit outs for the leading fitout main contractors.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your role will be to assist the project team with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:

The ideal Project Quantity Surveyor will have gained practical experience within a suitable specialist sub-contractor and preferably with experience of partitions and ceiling sub contract packages. Quantity Surveyors who have worked with main contractors or other specialist sub-contractors will be considered if they are an adapt and capable Quantity Surveyor keen to gain experience in a new discipline or working with a specialist sub-contractor on large build projects.

They specialise in ceilings and partitions and have an extensive portfolio of commercial and office works with typical contracts up to £4 million in value.
The company is looking for ambitious young Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a prestigious project in Belgravia, Central London. Reporting to a Commercial Manager on site, your main role will be to assist the commercial function. Duties will include estimating, developing and reviewing target costs, forecast and cash flow analysis. Duties will include assisting in all aspects of the financial control of the project including valuations, measurements and cost reports, attending meetings and ensuring that adequate cost monitoring and management is undertaken. In addition you will also co-ordinate and agree the production of final accounts with various parties in order to ensure that project approvals and completions can be obtained at the required times.
The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have up to 3 years practical experience and will have gained some experience with a Sub-Contractor and preferably with experience of fitting out commercial properties. Assistant Quantity Surveyors with other construction related experience will also be considered if they show the right drive and determination to succeed within a technically challenging environment.

You will have a focused attitude, and excellent communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team and possess a high level of motivation. Ideally you will also have an HND or equivalent qualification.

Supported as one of the leading building envelope specialists in Europe who offer the complete design, supply and installation of integrated envelope and facades packages. They are looking to strengthen their project team with an Assistant Site Manager in London. Ideally they are keen to appoint someone with perhaps 2 or 3 years experience who can grow into the role, with support.
With an extensive portfolio of works including commercial & residential projects with typical contracts varying from £5m through to £11m they seek a key member of the management team. This Site Management position requires excellent communication and management skills to co-ordinate site based activities, to maximise the efficiency and add value to the project. You will be conversant with planning activities safely, having direct responsibility for all activities carried out on site and you must be able to implement the business management system procedures and provide a professional approach to all aspects of the project.
Working closely with and reporting to the Project Director your duties will be to take full operational responsibility for the site, under supervision, including making every effort to ensure that works proceed in a safe manner and that all employees adopt the "Don't walk by" attitude to ensure the site is a safe place for everyone to work.
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Assistant Site Manager will have recently graduated or be ready or step up from an installation capacity, someone with c 2 years post grad experience or c 5 years working on site on projects with relevant discipline experience including roofing, cladding, glazing etc. Ideally you will be HND or Degree qualified in a construction or engineering related discipline with a CSCS Managers card and either a relevant First Aid certificate. Preferably you will be computer literate with programming and planning experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments.
