Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Director your role will be to assist the project team with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Quantity Surveyors will have a minimum of 5 or 6 years practical gained within a suitable specialist sub-contractor and preferably with experience of curtain walling, glazing and roofing.
You will be proving commercial management duties on a range of project typically valued between £4million up to £8million, with mixed systems on a range of residential and commercial new builds.
You will have a focused attitude, and excellent communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team and possess a high level of motivation. Ideally you will also have an HND or equivalent qualification.
The salary will be dependant on level of exposure to industry and can go beyond the stated level above for first class individuals. Bonus and additional benefits also make up the package. The group are a recognised performer in industry within the sector in which they operate.

Established for over 50 years with an annual turnover reaching more than £150m in the UK, they have continuously expanded globally with an increase in demand for their innovative projects within the UK. Projects vary in size but upwards of £20m on the largest and most high profile new builds in the city. Ideally you will be ready to run 1 large project and manage the commercial team based on site and support in the office.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Commercial Director to ensure successful delivery of various façade projects. Therefore, your day to day responsibilities will vary from but are not limited to:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to join a specialist contractor offering an opportunity to develop, grow and progress organically within the company. The ideal candidate will have 10 years' experience, in the construction industry, preferably with a facade, curtain walling or roofing subcontractor. Those who have gained experienced working with main contractors or other subcontractors will be considered if they have demonstrated the ability to perform exceptionally well.
Candidates must be highly motivated, resilient, and determined to 'get things right' to be successful. HND Qualification/Degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable, however, not critical. They are looking to strengthen their project team with a Site / Project Manager in London. Ideally they are keen to appoint a more "Junior" individual with perhaps 2 or 3 years experience who can grow into the role, with support.
With an extensive portfolio of works including commercial & residential projects with typical contracts varying from £5m through to £11m they seek a key member of the management team. This Project Management position requires excellent communication and management skills to co-ordinate site based activities, to maximise the efficiency and add value to the project. You will be conversant with planning activities safely, having direct responsibility for all activities carried out on site and you must be able to implement the business management system procedures and provide a professional approach to all aspects of the project.
Working closely with and reporting to the Project Director your duties will be to take full operational responsibility for the site, under supervision, including making every effort to ensure that works proceed in a safe manner and that all employees adopt the "Don't walk by" attitude to ensure the site is a safe place for everyone to work.
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Project Manager will have recently graduated or be ready or step up from an installation capacity, someone with c 2 years post grad experience or c 5 years working on site on projects with relevant discipline experience including roofing, cladding, glazing etc. Ideally you will be HND or Degree qualified in a construction or engineering related discipline with a CSCS Managers card and either a relevant First Aid certificate. Preferably you will be computer literate with programming and planning experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments.
